How many people can use one subscription?
Up to 5 devices! WaveKin Premium is per-account, not per-person. A family of 4 doesn't pay 4× — one parent subscribes, and signs that single account in on up to 5 family members' phones. Each phone shows up as its own distinct device on the private live map, and everyone shares all Premium features under one subscription.
How do the free trials work?
We offer a 7-day free trial on the Premium Monthly plan and a 14-day free trial on the Premium Yearly plan. You will have full access to all features during the trial. You can cancel at any time through your app store settings, and you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial period ends.
Do I need a separate subscription for live translation?
No! WaveKin Premium includes 30 free live translation minutes per month. If your family requires additional translation minutes for travel or multilingual communication, we offer optional, one-time translation packs directly in the app. These packs never expire and are available in bundles of 30 minutes ($6.99), 80 minutes ($14.99), and 200 minutes ($29.99).
What devices are supported?
WaveKin runs beautifully on both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. Since we support up to 5 concurrent devices under a single account, family members can use different types of phones and still show up individually on the live map, participate in encrypted chats, share to the Moments wall, set family alarms, sync vacation photos, and coordinate calendar events.
Is there a free version of WaveKin?
Yes! We want every family to stay close, so we offer a completely free Basic Tier. The free plan includes 1-on-1 private location sharing, 1-on-1 basic chat, up to 5 calendar events, and 3 photo posts on your Moments wall per month. It's a great way to experience WaveKin! When you need group chats, trip planning, flight tracking, family alarms, vacation photo sync, place alerts, or more family connections (up to 5), you can easily upgrade to Premium at any time.
Is my family's location and chat data secure?
Absolutely. We believe family data is sacred. WaveKin uses end-to-end encryption for family chats and photo sharing. We also enforce strict privacy: your family's location is only visible to devices you've explicitly signed in. Best of all, we never sell your personal information or location data to anyone.
